Forgiven, For You Designs by Deborah J. Birdoes

Forgiven

Lord, I don’t deserve it,
Yet you took it upon yourself,
Taking away my poverty,
In exchange for your wealth.

It cost you your life,
Which you willing gave to me.
My sins taken to the cross,
Nailed to that tree.

I don’t think I have told you
How much it means to me.
I treasure that I am forgiven
And will spend eternity with thee!

“Be merciful to me, O God, because of your constant love.
Because of your great mercy wipe away my sins!
Wash away all my evil and make me clean from my sin!"
Psalm 51:1-2

Inspiration:
Forgiveness is the fragrance that the flower leaves
on the heel of the one who crushed it.
Mark Twain
