I searched a long, long time
For such a perfect friend.
Who would walk along side of me,
And you are what Jesus sent!

You’ve brought out the sun,
On a shady day.
You’ve taken away the weeds,
And planted flowers in my way.

I don’t think I have told you.
I want you to believe,
That I am a better person,
For the time you’ve given to me.

So as you wear this heart,
You have the certainty,
That I’ll be there for you,
Now and for eternity.
