Young at Heart

My body is naturally aging,
Yet my heart remains the same.
The law of nature is taking its course,
I only have time to blame.

Tho the years have taken their toll;
I’ve grown wiser every day.
Working hard to secure my goal;
Yet my heart still wants to play.

So when you look at me
Don’t judge me by my outer shell.
See my heart that is still dancing,
And know I am doing well.

Inside there still resides a child,
Though wrinkles and aches are a part.
The truth about me you should know,
I’ll remain forever young at heart!
